Don't Move Dirt, and Don't Be a Computer Jockey
So many people are worried about how AI is going to take over their jobs. They are shifting investments and careers to areas that are focusing on manual labor that is harder to automate, however, people need to focus their energies on getting paid for their mind. Focusing on the manual work is trying to run away from AI, whereas focusing on your judgement ability is rising above the AI concern.
We should avoid being computer jockeys, and there is little leverage in manual work and products. The winners in the AI race will be those who get paid for their decision-making abilities, not for being able to manage queues and checklist, move dirt, and certainly not for put together pretty presentations.
