My First Eagle (Golf)

In honor of me getting my first eagle yesterday, I thought I would commemorate it with a post.

I was in Midway on the Soldier Hollow Silver Course, hole 8. It is a 367 par 4. I drove it about 260 yards and was sitting 110 yards out. I took my 52 wedge and hit a hard clean hit. It first landed right on the edge of the green and then started to roll. I was a little lower than the green, but I could see the ball rolling towards the pin... and then it dropped. Where I was standing, I couldn't be sure. We hurried to the hole and sure enough, it was in the cup! What a great feeling.

I was playing with my close friend Scott Thatcher. I also got a birdie, and a couple of pars (and a lot of other really really bad holes). It was a great day. Super fun. Super present in the moment.
